SoundTrack_Cologne is again looking for young and upcoming composers and sound designers for the European Talent Competition

The EUROPEAN TALENT COMPETITION of SoundTrack_Cologne invites young composers and sound designers this year to complete the animation short "BLUE HONEY" by Constance Joliff, Daphné Durocher and Fanny Lhotellier with a new soundtrack. We are looking for an independent, original approach to interpret and support narration and picture level. There are no restrictions stylistically. What matters is to create an own world of music and sound.

Young and upcoming composers and sound designers can apply with their own musical ideas and sounds in the categories WDR FILMSCORE AWARD and SOUND DESIGN.
Contestants can either compose the score, do the sound design or both. They may also work together as a team of composer and sound designer. Especially sound designers are encouraged to submit sound-only-solutions.
Entry deadline for the competition is June, 25th, 2018.

The winner of the WDR FILMSCORE AWARD gets the opportunity to record an own composition with the WDR Funkhausorchester in March 2019 - for many young composers this would be the first possibility to record with a great orchestra and to start to fill their film-score business card.
The award for best SOUND DESIGN is a 5.1 cinematic mix down in the prestigious sound mixing studio Chaussee Soundvision in Germany.
The twelve finalists and their works will be presented in context of SoundTrack_Cologne to the audience and jury.
