The Silva Screen Music Group is a London based independent record company, which is home to one of the world’s leading film and television specialist soundtrack labels, Silva Screen Records. Head of the label since 1988, David Stoner studied with John Huntley, author of ‘British Film Music’ and was soundtrack reviewer for Films, Films & Filming and Photoplay magazines and on "Cinema 2" for BBC’s Radio 2. Work in the music industry began in 1984 at another label before joining Silva Screen Records. Having shown no sign of leaving, he has been given much work to do which has resulted in the release of many albums of film and television music, old and new, across all genres. The synch world is core to the company’s business and the re-recording of film and television music from the past 100 years, together with catalogues across all repertoires and work with upcoming writers, has enabled David to travel extensively to meet with synch companies around the world.
