Open Call for IDFA

We are very excited to kick off our brand-new partnership with International Documentary Filmfestival Amsterdam (IDFA) with a matchmaking during their producer’s connection day. In other words, you have a chance to connect with IDFA’s producers and pitch your music to (international) documentary makers on Saturday, November 20 and Sunday, November 21. Deadline to apply is Monday, October 4.

The Producers Connection is the newest addition to co-financing and co-production market IDFA Forum and serves as a bespoke platform for fostering international co-production, providing a necessary space for sustaining collaborations and realizing documentary projects.

Taking place over two days at the start of IDFA Forum, the Producers Connection will include a selection of 15 projects in early development that are looking for international co-production partners. In addition to the directors and producers of these 15 projects, some 70 producers will be selected to attend the event, all with a proven track record in successful international co-productions both inside and outside Europe.

The schedule and timeline
Short project presentations will be followed by a full day of curated one-on-one meetings between project teams and attending producers, as well as selected Dutch composers (you!). A balance of low-volume and high-volume production countries will be represented at the event, with all countries offering funding possibilities for minority co-productions.

The selected projects will be featured through the IDFA Forum online project collection on October 13. Thereafter, you’ll be able to indicate with which project teams you would like to meet. Your composer profile will also be visible in the online project collection so project teams can acquaint themselves with you.
