Meet the Music Supervisors (i.c.w. Dutch Music Export)

Music supervision, or incorporating the right music into trailers, TV series, films and adverts, has become an integral part of the music industry's income. Don't miss the second edition of Meet The Music Supervisors!

We have invited a dream team of European music supervisors who are eager to meet Dutch composers, producers, artists (and/or their reps). During the sessions, you have short one-to-one meetings with different music supervisors.

This matchmaking is part of the ESNS Conference programme, you need to have a ticket to join.


Jumi Akinfenwa (Redfive Creative, UK)

Jumi is a music supervisor at Redfive, joining in 2022. She started her career at Pitch & Sync, working as a music supervisor across advertising campaigns for brands such as Nike, Zalando and IKEA. She was also instrumental in setting up the DEI initiative ‘Make Noise’ to highlight industry wide inequality, through a series of events and workshops.
She joined Amazon Studios in 2020, working in the music team across the UK, Italy, France, Spain and Sweden on productions including 'Clarkson’s Farm', 'All Or Nothing: Juventus' and 'Bang Bang Baby'. Jumi is on the DEI committee of The UK & European Guild of Music Supervisors. Jumi is also a freelance journalist, featuring in The Guardian, VICE and gal-dem amongst others, and listed as one of MHP’s 30 to Watch in 2020.

Mark Gordon (Score Draw Music, UK)

Mark Gordon is a multi award-winning composer who runs the music production company Score Draw Music. With studios located in both the UK and Ireland, Score Draw provides original music and songs to a huge range of global clients and current work spans content for Nickelodeon Jr, PBS Kids, Disney Jr, Amazon, Netflix, BBC, Channel 5, Milkshake and Sky. Outside of the company, Mark is a member of the Ivors Academy Media Committee Board, sits on the Future Screens NI Board and also programmes Output Belfast - Ireland’s largest music conference.

Dan Koplowitz (Friendly Fire Licensing, US)

Dan Koplowitz runs Friendly Fire Licensing, a sync agency based in Los Angeles that represents a wide variety of international artists, labels and publishing catalogues for inclusion in TV, film, commercials and video games. Dan has been in the music industry for 20+ years and has an extensive track record of working with artists from outside the USA.

Leslie Ming (Zentropa, DK)

Leslie started her career as a music supervisor in 2017, working for Zentropa. Throughout her years at Zentropa she has worked with some of the most critically acclaimed directors on feature films such as Another Round and The House that Jack built. Now she works freelance, still supervising all Zentropa’s projects, but also working on series like Kamikaze (HBO), and latest the Palm’d’or winner Triangle of Sadness.

Lena Obara (Sector C Music, DE)

Lena Obara is an award-winning music supervisor. She is a highly creative and imaginative music expert with over a decade of experience in the industry. Her extensive education in music and media provides a solid basis for her carefully considered music supervision choices and decisions.
Lena’s expertise allows her to steer each project from start to finish, whether seamlessly matching projects to music and vice-versa by researching and identifying music and composers globally, or dealing with international licensing and negotiation. She works on productions with partners in various counties, and her network allows her not only to clear rights from different territories, but also to find the right composer and the most authentic song or sound.
Lena’s portofolio includes music supervision on Grammy, Oscar, BAFTA, Golden Globe, TIFF and KVIFF-nominated and award-winning projects in film and advertising. She has been a member of the jury at the Cannes Lions and Ciclope Festivals.

Juanto Tello (The Pool Notes, ES)

Linked to music since I can remember. Professionally I have developed my career in the recording industry, going through different positions. radio promotion, project manager (local and international), a&r and artistic director at Chrysalis, Emi and Virgin with artists such as Antonio Vega, Amaral, Los Delincuentes, Dover, Luz Casal, Enrique Morente, among others.
At Globomedia, I learned the trade of music supervisor for fiction series and movies, carrying out this work in “Vis a Vis”, “El Barco”, Los Hombres de Paco”, “Aida”, “Estoy Vivo”, “Byb”, "Kamikaze", "Tres Metros Sobre el Cielo", "Fuga de Cerebros I y II", "Tengo Ganas de Ti” among others . I currently combine teaching with my work as Music Supervisor at “El Embarcadero”, “Por H o Por B”, “Nasdrovia”, “Sky Rojo”, “Entrevias”, “Now & Then” or “La Casa de Papel / Money Heist” among others.
